No christian as ever lived with perpetual prosperity. There will always be storms to test our faith. Perhaps your christian voyage sailed early to blue skies and light winds only because God knew you could not handle much. Don’t be fooled by the seasons of seemingly good weather, before you reach landfall the weather will change. What faith shall you have in Jesus Christ when the clouds grow dark, the waves of emotion run high along your bow and the winds of doubt and stress howl in your ears? Dear child of God, your maturity in Christ is tied to your ability to see, hear and walk only to Him in the worst of storms. Retreat is not option, for the devil awaits your regress with laughter and mock. If you go backward you will topside and down. Walk toward Jesus in the midst of the storm and you will find the hope in Him that you seek. God does not design your life in a manner that you should ever see Him as a terror. He designs your life with pathways of salvation and hatches of escape into his safety when your sins have designed your own troubles. Don’t be immature in your outlook, there will always be a cross to bear, a crowd that heckles, debts that weigh us down and seasons of spiritual dryness. Be still in the safety of Jesus Christ because immediately after the hurricane or tornado warning passes, the Son will shine brightly on your face and your hope will be full. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive the favor of Almighty God the Father.
