Live Now, Die Later – Die Now, Live Later – Matthew 16:25

“Those who want to save their lives will give up true life, and those who give up their lives for me will have true life.” Matthew 16:25 NCV

What does it mean to give up one’s life for Jesus? At its simpilest leave this concept means to consider the Lord before yourself. Even salvation itself is a selfless act – since it is the Lord’s will that all men be saved. This requires men, to give up themselves and their ways to be Jesus’. Another way to understand this concept is to ask another question: Do you fit Jesus into your life or have you fit your life into Jesus? So many people today are hustling for their own gain, but who today is laying down their life for a friend? The promise of eternal life is for those who are willing to put this life on the back burner and run hard and passionately after the things of Christ.
