Don’t Be A Spiritual Jerk – Romans 12:3

“…….. not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, ………” Romans 12:3 NKJV

Spiritual arrogance and conceit might be of the most heinous personality traits of a believer.  In fact, many denominational battle lines are on issues of theological arrogance, with all charity thrown out the door.  You should not think more highly of yourself than you ought, but be sober. The devil makes war easily with saints who have felt one move of God and exalted themselves to heavenly fame.  Have not the greatest preachers, evangelist, and healers fallen precipitously among us?  How do the mighty fall then…little by little, by their own spiritual arrogance and pride.  How many haughty are amongst us?  One should never forget the “us” in Jesus, who joins us all together.  Seek the gifts of the Spirit, with all humility, knowing always that it is an honor to be used by God.
